Trốc tru là một từ lóng địa phương được sử dụng trong đời sống hàng ngày của người dân Nghệ An. Trong đó “trốc” = cái đầu, “tru” = con trâu. Cụm từ này ý chỉ những người bướng bỉnh, ngang ngược, nói nhiều lần mà vẫn chứng nào tật nấy, không tiếp thu và không thay đổi.
